Collective Care provides training for mental health and psychosocial professionals in using creative modalities—art, drama, music, and movement—to support trauma healing in individual and collective contexts.
The training introduces trauma-informed creative approaches, ethical and safe facilitation, practical techniques, adaptation to diverse needs, practitioner self-care, and reflective learning, illustrated through case examples and supervision. It expands professionals’ therapeutic tools and offers survivors alternative pathways for expression and healing.

Collective Care – Creative Methods for Trauma Healing
Playback Theatre for Community Building
This training uses Playback Theatre as a participatory method to strengthen community connection, dialogue, and mutual understanding.
Participants develop skills in active listening, storytelling, improvisation, and collective reflection through structured exercises, role-play, and enactment. The approach fosters empathy, trust, and collaboration while creating safe spaces for individuals and groups to share lived experiences.
Drawing on extensive experience in post-war and conflict-affected contexts, Playback Theatre is applied as a powerful tool for community building, trauma-sensitive engagement, reconciliation, and the restoration of social bonds.

Meet the team
We are a collective of artists, social activists, and mental health professionals who were forced to leave our countries due to war, socio-economic collapse, or identity-based oppression.
Drawing on lived experience and professional practice, we aim to provide comprehensive support and healing to individuals and communities worldwide through multidisciplinary therapeutic approaches and the arts. Our work bridges mental health, community care, and creative practice to foster resilience, dignity, and social connection.
