We are artists, social activists and mental health providers who were forced to leave their countries due to reasons such as war, socio-economic collapse, or identity questions.

We aim to offer comprehensive support and healing to individuals and communities worldwide through multidisciplinary therapeutic approaches and art.

  • Hane Alrustm

    CO-FOUNDER - PSYCHOANALYST

    Hane is a refugee who escaped war in Syria and transformed into an empowered psychoanalyst. His journey reflects resilience and healing, having personally experienced the horrors of war and displacement.

    With his unique perspective as a former refugee, he creates a safe space for clients, helping them navigate healing and growth.

  • Shadi Alaiek

    CO-FOUNDER - FACILITATOR

    Syrian artist, originally from Salamiyeh, residing in Belgium. With a Fine Arts academic background.

    As an artist, he delves into the daily experiences and memories shaped by the harsh realities of conflict, using his skills in various printing methods to convey the emotional depth of the subject matter.

    Shadi Facilitates Emotional support groups sessions under the Listening Hour program.

  • Ahmad Halloum

    PSYCHOANALYTICAL PSYCHOTHERAPIST

    Ahmad specialises in psychotrauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, grief and loss, and supporting individuals who have fled their home countries. With a deep understanding of trauma and displacement, he creates a compassionate and empowering environment for healing and personal transformation.

  • Atanas Tannous

    CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

    Atanas is a Palestinian psychologist based in Budapest. He provides culturally responsive, trauma-informed care to people affected by displacement, occupation, war, and racial trauma. His work is shaped by his lived experience growing up in Nazareth and long-term engagement with communities facing chronic stress and structural violence. He integrates Schema Therapy, mindfulness, and liberation psychology, offering a safe and collaborative space that honors resilience and supports healing grounded in intersectional realities.

  • Baraa Hatoum

    CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

    Baraa Hatoum is a psychotherapist and psychosocial practitioner supporting individuals and groups affected by war, displacement, trauma, anxiety, and emotional exhaustion across the Arab region and diaspora.

    Her work integrates trauma-informed and conflict-sensitive approaches, nonviolent communication, and culturally responsive support to foster emotional healing, resilience, self-awareness, and healthier human connections in individual and collective spaces.

  • Diana Dibo

    CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

    Diana is a Clinical Psychologist based in Paris who specializes in psychotrauma, whether related to violence, the loss of people, places, or former selves. Her approach is attentive to cultural context and the particular ways it shapes lived experience. She also has particular familiarity with LGBTQ+ people and the complex work of becoming oneself. Through psychoanalysis and clinical practice, she creates space for pain, identity, and what comes after.

  • Elnaz Yaghoobi

    PSYCHOANALYST - PSYCHOTHERAPIST

    She has University education in Clinical Psychology. In the past years she has gained extensive clinical experiences, working in Psychiatric Hospitals in Tehran.

    Also trained in Psychoanalyst in Applied psychoanalysis with ISAP (International Society for Applied Psychoanalysis), located in Montpellier, France. Today, she works as a Psychoanalyst online and in-person.

  • Raza Othman

    PSYCHOANALYTICAL PSYCHOTHERAPIST

    Raza specialises in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, displacement, and emotional hardship.

    Her approach focuses on providing a compassionate and secure environment where people can openly explore their feelings. She is committed to helping individuals build emotional resilience, heal from their experiences.

  • Remi Hamzeh

    CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

    Remi is a licensed psychologist and an analyst in training, specialized in gender, sex, and relationship diversity therapy, with a strong foundation in trauma intervention and trauma-informed approaches. Her clinical practice is grounded in an integrative framework, with particular focus on abusive dynamics and their psychological impact.
    Alongside this, she brings extensive training in working with complex trauma and its intersections with systemic issues, identity, and relational patterns.

  • Omar Sabbagh

    MULTIDISCIPLINARY THERAPIST

    Omar has worked with refugee communities across the Middle East and North Africa. Blending therapeutic tools with participatory theater techniques, Omar creates safe, creative spaces for healing, self-expression, and resilience. His work focuses on using storytelling, embodiment, and collective play to support communities navigating trauma, displacement, and identity.

  • Soline Daccache

    ECLECTIC THERAPIST, DRAMA THERAPIST, DANCE MOVEMENT THERAPIST & PLAYBACK THEATRE ACCREDITED TRAINER

    Grew up in Lebanon in the midst of the civil war, including the July War in 2006 and the Beirut Blast 2020. She works in our region with the displaced, migrants and refugees, even now, after having migrated herself.

    Trained in Analytical and Systemic Therapy, Drama Therapy (DT), psychodrama, and Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) and also a Theatre Artist.

  • Sheida Zokaeieh

    PSYCHOANALYTICAL PSYCHOTHERAPIST

    Sheida specialises in helping individuals navigate trauma, migration, and identity as a Clinical Psychologist and Psychodynamic Psychotherapist.

    Her approach blends psychodynamic insight with creative, evidence-based techniques to support those rebuilding their lives after displacement or adversity.

  • Samah Abu Rajab

    CREATIVE DESIGNER

    Samah is a graphic designer who believes that art is a powerful tool for transformation. As the Creative Designer at Healing on the Move, she designs and leads the organisation’s visual identity, ensuring that every element reflects its mission of creativity, healing, and movement. Her work seamlessly blends aesthetics with purpose, utilizing design to inspire connection, empathy, and positive change. Through her creative vision, Samah helps bring the organisation’s stories to life in ways that engage both the heart and the eye.

  • Muna Odeh

    CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST – FAMILY THERAPIST

    Muna is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with extensive experience working with adults, adolescents, and couples. She has a strong background in supporting refugees and war survivors across both the United States and Palestine, providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed care.

    Her practice is grounded in an eclectic, client-centered approach, allowing her to tailor interventions to the unique needs of each individual and family. Fluent in both English and Arabic, she works effectively with diverse populations.
